The IT Quiz Bee 2025, held on Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at CIS 303, College of Information Sciences, was a thrilling showcase of knowledge and skill. This annual competition, open exclusively to non-IT students enrolled at Benguet State University, aimed to promote IT literacy and spark interest in technology among students from diverse academic disciplines.
A total of 27 participants from five colleges took part in the competition, representing the College of Arts and Humanities, College of Home Economics and Technology, College of Information Sciences, College of Natural Sciences, and the College of Public Administration and Governance. Contestants came from a wide range of degree programs, including Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA), Bachelor of Arts in English Language (BAEL), Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics (BSND), Bachelor of Science in Biology (BS BIO), Bachelor of Science in Food Technology (BSFT), and Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS).
The event featured a series of challenging questions covering various IT concepts, putting participants' technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and quick thinking to the test. After an intense showdown, Kirby Crozzle Dupingay Pablito, a BSND 3B student, emerged as the champion. Marlon Vicente (BSFT 3A) secured second place, while Julian Ocampo (BAEL 3B) claimed third place, rounding out the top winners.
